Im trying to install and use WordPress multisite however im running into issues. I am using the latest wordpress version.

    I have created three subdomains.

WordPress has been installed in the root dir.

However, when i goto view site via my dashboard it stated it cannot find the site and loads up the root site with the message…

“This is somewhat embarrassing, isn’t it?

It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching can help.”

Do i need to create folders in my ftp to reflect the sub-domains? At present i have created them in my host providers control panel?

Please help as its driving me mad.

If I click on dashboard for a site (which is a subdomain) it states page not found.

    No. DO NOT create folders.

It sounds like your subdomains aren’t pointing to the right location. They should point to your primary WP location (so /home/user/public_html for example). NOT their own subfolder.

I have set my subdomains as per my hosts instructions on fasthosts.

I have set it up like below…

    blog.istoreandmove.com

However, this is automatically being aliased as…

    http://istoreandmove.com/blog

Which wordpress doesnt seem to like as it cannot find the site.

I really need to get this up and running today so any help is appreciated.

I need wordpress to update three subdomains using one installation of WP.

Is there a plugin i need to install for this to work? So far i have only installed the latest version of WP.

    Thanks

You need to change that to be aliases as http://istoreandmove.com/

I have realised a terrible mistake and am on a shared hosting package so multisite will not work.

Will have to use seperate versions of WP instead on each subdomain.

    thanks for the help
