I am using multisite on wordpress using subdomains on my local.

I had created a page for one of the sites [site1.local.loc] with the link [site1.local.loc/page1 ; I entered this in the page creation step only]. However, on creation of any page, when I click on the 'View page' link that appears, I get a 'Not found 404' error message. It doesn't look like a WordPress 404.

I think the pages exist, but they are not getting linked. This is because when I assign a static page to be my home page, it loads with the content that I had created. I didn't fiddle around with permalinks either.

How do I get around this?

That is related to this post: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/editing-permalinks-for-a-multisite?replies=2

If the pages aren't working that's PROBABLY why permalinks aren't, which means switch to UGLY permalinks and see if those work. If so, it's an htaccess/httpd.conf issue.

Which makes this a dupe :)
