WordPress MU: Closing blogs

    Hi,

    I would like to be able to close blogs in a WordPress network install. With closing I mean, that the blogs should still be visible, but not editable or commentable.

    I have tried deactivating and archiving blogs, but strangly afterwards blogs are still editable and I can even comment on posts.

    Is there a wordpress function that will allow me to achieve this or are there any plugins?
