Support » Plugins » WordPress Move plugin – can't access wp-admin and no update required message

  • I recently used the WordPress Move plugin to migrate and change the domain name of a WP site from a test environment to production. I followed the instructions in wp-content/plugins/wordpress-move/docs/index.html and received all “Success” messages when performing the migration, including the final message of “Migration has been completed successfully!”

Now, when I attempt to access the new domain, I get the correct Home page, but ALL of the page links in the navigation link to the test site.

When I attempt to access the new domain wp-admin, I get a page that says “No Update Required – Your WordPress database is already up-to-date!” When I click the “Continue” button, I see the Home page of the test site – in other words, I can’t access the wp-admin of the new site at all.

Not sure if this is part of the problem, but my test site is running WP 3.2.1, my new site is running WP 3.3.2.

I’ve read through quite a few other posts which talk about this, but none seem to be exactly what I’m experiencing.

By the way, kudos to the WordPress Move developer – it’s well designed, with good documentation – now if I can just get it to work!

    Thanks.
