   The 'upgrade automatically' works great except for one thing - afterwards, the user STILL has to manually update the wp-settings.php file to account for memory allocation.

   i would think it would be pretty simple to keep the current setting in place during the upgrade?

   Put them in wp-config.php.

   Editing wp-config.php--Increasing memory allocated to PHP
