I think it is a very lack of understanding that the developers or moderators do not allow WordPress members to delete or edit their usernames. I decided to get a WordPress account for the first time and because a person entered my email address and a username and registered, while I left my laptop unattended I have to deal with the high volume of spam I have been receiving ever since. And because of this ridiculous policy!
