Spent a couple of hours on an article for Baseball-Reference.com (working here: http://www.baseball-reference.com/blog/wp-admin/index.php), saving as draft every few minutes. Just before I was going to publish, I decided to stick in a "More" tag. Boom -- everything else vanished. And though I tried to abandon and go back to the saved version, it was too late. My entire article is gone.

By the way, I picked "3.1" as the version I'm using completely at random. How should I know what version I'm using. Where is that information to be found? I spent 5 minutes looking for it, then gave up. Why not put it somewhere easy to find? I hate software.

  2. Go do yourdomain.com/blog/wp-admin -- Look at 'Right now'

See "You are using WordPress 3.1.3."? That's how you know. It's also at the footer of every single admin page ;)

And though I tried to abandon and go back to the saved version, it was too late.

How did you try to do that?

Did you do something like this? http://tanyabeaudoin.com/wordpress/how-to-restore-your-lost-wordpress-post-or-page-content/
