WordPress is ignoring changes to my child stylesheet.

I created a child stylesheet and added one little change that took effect. I’ve since added other changes but they are ignored, even after reloading my site. I thought there was something wrong with the new code at first but then grew suspicious that no new code worked. Then I tried deleting the original bit of code I added, and that had no effect–so the changes that the first bit of code created are still there, even though the code is not! It’s like the site read the stylesheet once after my initial changes and now refuses to look at it again. What’s the problem?
