    Hi

All of my WP folders and files are installed under the public_html folder.
Is this OK or does it represent a security risk?

I ask, as I've I've done 2 installations with different hosting services and one has placed the WP folders etc. in public_html and the other has not.

    Thanks

Yes, public_html is perfectly normal, and in this case, thats where wordpress needs to be to work. (or in a sub-dir of public_html)

Hosts do it differently, and the other is fine as well.
/home/user/public_html/ is the more traditional way.

PS: If you want to store stuff on that server, and NOT have it be web-accessible, just put it above public_html.

    Everything within public_html is web-accessible.
