  • Sounds like you already installed WP, you can’t just login?
    Otherwise, use your PHPmyAdmin/Plesk/whateveryouhave to see if there indeed are already tables in your database. Alternally, in the wp-config file you can change the prefix from wp_ to something different and try to install again. If that works, you’ll probably have a database with wp_ and other tables.

    I have checked with the tables and also i have not installed WP yet..
    My wp-config.php:-

    <?php
    /**
    * The base configurations of the WordPress.
    *
    * This file has the following configurations: MySQL settings, Table Prefix,
    * Secret Keys, WordPress Language, and ABSPATH. You can find more information by
    * visiting {@link http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php Editing
    * wp-config.php} Codex page. You can get the MySQL settings from your web host.
    *
    * This file is used by the wp-config.php creation script during the
    * installation. You don’t have to use the web site, you can just copy this file
    * to “wp-config.php” and fill in the values.
    *
    * @package WordPress
    */

    // ** MySQL settings – You can get this info from your web host ** //
    /** The name of the database for WordPress */
    define(‘DB_NAME’, ‘test’);

    /** MySQL database username */
    define(‘DB_USER’, ‘root’);

    /** MySQL database password */
    define(‘DB_PASSWORD’, ‘root’);

    * You can generate these using the {@link https://api.wordpress.org/secret-key/1.1/ WordPress.org secret-key service}
    * You can change these at any point in time to invalidate all existing cookies. This will force all users to have to log in again.

    define(‘ABSPATH’, dirname(__FILE__) . ‘/’);

    /** Sets up WordPress vars and included files. */
    require_once(ABSPATH . ‘wp-settings.php’);
    ?>

    Please check if there is anything wronge with this.

    I guess you did already install WP, but try this.

    In your wp-config.php change this:
    $table_prefix = 'wp_';
    to something like:
    $table_prefix = 'test_';
    and try to install again.

    When that works, change the database name, user and password. It is not very smart to put your database name, username and password open on the www.

    I tried the above but am still getting the same message:
    ERROR: %s’), $error); ?>

    />

    ‘.__(‘Already Installed’).’

    ‘.__(‘You appear to have already installed WordPress. To reinstall please clear your old database tables first.’).’
    ‘);} switch($step) { case 0: case 1: // in case people are directly linking to this display_header(); ?>

    error) ) wp_die($wpdb->error->get_error_message()); display_header(); // Fill in the data we gathered $weblog_title = isset($_POST[‘weblog_title’]) ? stripslashes($_POST[‘weblog_title’]) : ”; $admin_email = isset($_POST[‘admin_email’]) ? stripslashes($_POST[‘admin_email’]) : ”; $public = isset($_POST[‘blog_public’]) ? (int) $_POST[‘blog_public’] : 0; // check e-mail address $error = false; if (empty($admin_email)) { // TODO: poka-yoke display_setup_form( __(‘you must provide an e-mail address.’) ); $error = true; } else if (!is_email($admin_email)) { // TODO: poka-yoke display_setup_form( __(‘that isn’t a valid e-mail address.     admin
