    Hello,

Hope you can help. I have just converted my website over to a WordPress setup.

I used to create folders within my domains root directory where i could leave files that could then be downloaded by my clients.

Since switching to WordPress these URLs no longer lead to a folder with the files but instead seems to display related posts. I'm hoping there is a setting i can amend with the permelinks that will correct this problem.

For example trying http://www.mysite.com/musicfiles/ goes instead to a post called /2009/11/musicfiles/

    Hope you can help me.

    Many thanks

    Leigh

Place all of your client folders in a sub-folder off root called "clients". Then edit your .htaccess file and try adding a rewrite - before the WP rewrites - to redirect all calls to http://your_domain/clients/* to the correct folder.
