We have been updating WordPress fairly frequently and it seems to me as a CMS WordPress has poor security and I can only assume this is in the design of the product.

At first we were hit with a myriad of Theme changes which got us Booted from Google News. We seemed to rectify that issue and just last night our system got hacked, they put a flooder on the server and were sending a DOS to another site.

We cleaned it up last night and this morning it was back again.

How can we make WP secure?

I am concerned that the density of updates lately means you guys are putting band aids on the problem. We have been keeping up to date as much as we can without it being too much of an interruption. Every time we turn around there is another update.

Almost as bad as MicroSlop. It appears that much is done right in the directories of WP and not in the databases. This is a Major factor in the problem. If WP did everything in a database it would be much easier to secure things at the directory level.
