• Hi,

We are web designers and have only relatively recently looked at wordpress. We have tried in vain to find an answer to the following issue and thought that it was quite a simple thing that we wanted to do, but obviously not!

We have a client who is having a blog done by us, we decided to use wordpress.com to host the blog as opposed to installing wordpress on our clients server, as we think it will be better for SEO.

So all we want to do is create a feed from wordpress to our clients website to include the first image on each post (if applicable). Its easy enough to get the text feed (ie: blog update title, description etc) but its pulling an image across which seems to be the difficulty. We have found one script online called rss2html which has a series of paid for templates which do have images. But apart from that no information whatsoever.

    Any ideas would be appreciated?

I came to wordpress.org because wordpress.com sent me too it as per below!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:

“The issue is that probably no one here has any experience putting RSS feeds into an external site. Even though you are working with a wordpress.COM blog, I would suggest searching the forums at wordrpress.ORG and if you find nothing, then post a question there. They are much more likely to have experience with this.”

The rss widget in self-hosted WordPress does shows external feeds, but if it’s not self-hosted WordPress, then maybe a Google search for embed feed will find something.

olivda2, were you able to find a solution for this, please?
