• 1. I run a secured site, using https. After installing the plugin, users report getting mixed (unencrypted) content warnings from IE and Firefox.

    2. My StatPress logs show that during the time I was running this plugin, user visits were being redirected through an IP address in Albania.

Would the author of wordpress-facebook-like, please explain these anomalies?

Other than that, I do like this plugin, and would use it; if these questions/issues are resolved to my satisfaction.

  • Check your site to see if you were hacked with a base64 malware. I’ve checked this code over and it’s only ability is to communicate with the facebook API library.

    1. The mixed encryption content warning messages was resolved by changing all occurrences of http to https in the plugin.

    2. Whatever geolocating service StatPress uses, is incorrect. A lookup through WhatsMyIpAddress.com shows the suspect IP to be from Facebook, in Palo Alto, CA; not Durrësi, Albania — LOL.

    Thanks for the info 🙂
