   Hi,

   I recently have installed a wordpress MU installation, and opened registration up for new users. But when you register, it requires an email confirmation. This made me realize that wordpress wasn't sending the emails. I then checked if it was only wordpress MU that was like this, but the other normal installations I had did not work either.

   Is there an additional step I have to take to configure wordpress for sending emails? I see that there is a spot in the the table wp_options for email server, but I thought you wouldn't have to edit in the database. So do I have to take an additional step or is it my server?

   An update...

   I don't think its my hosting. Because contact forms still send emails. So how do I get wordpress to send emails?
