   Hi,

   I am facing this weird problem with the wordpress editor. After writing an article and saving it in draft, I see that a lot of junk characters have been added to the article. I have tried to remove them both in visual mode as well as in the html mode.

   I even tried to disable the visual editor and save the draft, but that did not help. Please give me a clue as to what might be the reason for this.

   I am getting the below junk malformed html in the beginning of the post:

   <<<span style="text-decoration:underline;"></span>em>strong>

   I even upgraded to WP 3.1.4 and still the problem persists.

   I even tried deleting those junk from phpmyadmin, but it automatically adds it back again. This is amazing.

   Ok. I think I figured out the problem. It was happening because of a plugin called EasyWpSeo which had admin side automatic text decoration.
