    I was using the editor to create a post on a self-hosted WordPress site using Chrome as a browser and all of the editor buttons disappeared. The Visual / Text buttons that appear at the top of the text editor window are visible but aren’t functioning as links. Does anyone know how to correct this?

    The problem also appears in Opera – its a server end problem.

    Is it working any any browser? Do you have any plugins active?
    Try disabling all plugins and reverting to the default theme. Then you can you find out if it’s a plugin or theme issue.

    There is a good chance it’s being disabled somewhere. Also make sure in your user profile you don’t have Disable the visual editor when writing selected.
