I recently tried to link to two blog entries from MSN Spaces, in this entry. However, these didn't get parsed correctly, and I had a little bit of the closing A HREF tag still hanging at the beginning of my link, although I couldn't find anything wrong with it. I'm wondering if there is something about how WordPress handles MSN Spaces Permalinks that is known to cause this problem? What can I do about it?
For now I used TinyURL to create links that work:
http://tinyurl.com/dxr9j
http://tinyurl.com/bl7q3
Thanks.
I just tested this and had no problem linking to those articles on MSN Spaces in blog posts. Are you using a text formatting plugin such as Markdown or Textile?

I think we are using Markdown, I suppose that explains it. What a pain. Never a problem with any other kind of URL...

The couple of ! in there, maybe?
I don't know if WordPress likes those URLs, but I hate them. Imagine talking to a friend. "Okay, I've got the goods on this at my MSN Spaces blog. When you get him type in http://750characterurl.msnspaces.com/12345!!56789!abCdefgXyz. Oh, and don't forget, that's case sensitive."
It makes "?p=761" look even better.
URL's case sensitive?
That's plain wrong!
