I wonder why many say the best publishing system are really slow. Someone says that 10000 comments is enough to slow down the WordPress, other says that a lot of traffic may slow WordPress.

I've never believed in the first claim. I have a blog now with WordPress 9085 comments, 755 articles, 5 pages, 4 categories with 1219 keywords. None of the slowness has never been, day unique 600-1000.

23 queries 0.292 seconds now to homepage. I think the WordPress is fast and i enjoy it as it is. There is no better yet nobody did! Thank you developers!

And sorry my poor English but best regards from Finland. We all love WordPress!

I don't get it. I am just new to wordpress.com and only have less than 10 posts, not comments, whatsoever. Already it is very slow.

I am new to word press. Are there any beginner's mistakes I should be aware of?

  3. If you have a WordPress.com blog, you'll have to ask in the WordPress.com support forums:

My hosting account got suspended like 10 times for high CPU usage while I had only WP installed. I've made a google search and found out that a lot of people are facing the same issues.

First impression: WordPress sucks and doesn't stop eating my CPU.

When I moved to a new server, with the same database and everything, Never had any problems.

Conclusion: Sometimes server can be the bottleneck.

Just another point is the plugins you have. Some plugins can seriously slow down everything.

I'm glad you're satisfied with your WordPress :)

Its not a shame to use cashing plugins, It is proved that it boosts the page loading speed of WP and minimizes the number of php requests.

I think cache plugin's doesn't work with AdSense. I use WP Super Cache sometime and i get for AdSense just white all the time (or ad with no update every page laod).
