WordPress database error Table 'wp_signups' already exists (7 posts)

    Whenever doing a network upgrade I get the following SQL Error:

    WordPress database error Table 'wp_signups' already exists for query CREATE TABLE wp_signups

    It seems that other multisite users are having the same issue.

    Any fix? Or is this just a bug?

  2. Upgrade from what to what? You mean every time?

    That shouldn't be called unless you're installing (create table only runs when you install Multisite, not on upgrade). Have you tried turning off all your plugins when you upgrade?

    Any time a WordPress update (ex., 3.7 to 3.7.1), when you update the network.

    I'm seeing it on 2 different multisite installations on different hosting accounts.

    I've looked into this and others are showing the same exact error in their error logs on their Multisite's when updating to new WP releases.

    However, I haven't been able to find a solution, which is why I turned here.

  4. http://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/22134 is what you want to read actually.

    That second link was a copy of trac.

    Was your site originally a WPMU install?

    Yup, both were MU from the start. Will check out that link.

    FYI, this isn't a site breaker.. would still like to fix it though.

    Looks like a fix is planned in 3.8. :)

    Thanks for the link!

  7. Yeah, it's a pretty rare WPMU -> 3.x error too :(
