• Hi

I have notes this type of error in my error log:

[18-Mar-2014 14:57:36 UTC] WordPress database error MySQL server has gone away for query SELECT option_value FROM tmbqpx_options WHERE option_name = ‘_transient_doing_cron’ LIMIT 1 made by _get_cron_lock

    How can i fix this?

    still have the problem.

You can’t fix that error. It’s a server problem, and it’s up to your hosting company to do something about it.

The beasic meaning of that error is that the communication channel between the web server (where the pages are built) and the database server (where the data is stored) has either been closed or is broken. Because of that WordPress can’t get the data that it needs to build the page/pages.

Most of the time that error comes from one of the two servers being overloaded and not able to process the request. Unless your site is generating a whole load of traffic, the server just can’t handle what’s happening. If your hosting company can’t do anything it may be time to look for a better place.
