• Hello and good day!

I was just wondering what are the steps on how to troubleshoot a site that has this problem?

I have a backup but it was a long time ago and I’m just afraid of just re-uploading the backup to the new wp files. Maybe I can have tips on what particular PHP WP file that is having this problem?

Thank you very much for your time.

  • Try:
    – switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and the wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of your current version of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

Thanks so much for the reply. The re-naming of theme and resetting of plugins didn’t work. I will try re-uploading the files and see if this solves the problem and let you know.
