    Hi

For the first time ever I have tried creating a WordPress blog. I have got the required MySQL & PHP, etc.

I have eventually managed to create a WordPress blog. Unfortunately, my WordPress Dashboard/admin area does not look how I expected it to. I think I have done something wrong.

I have created a screenshot of my admin area for you to check:

    my admin area

Could somebody be so kind as to let me what I may have done wrong?? I'm not that technical so any help would be gratefully received.

    Many Thanks

    J

Looking at your login page it looks as if you've messed up your wordpress location. Go to your Click on options, then General then look for the wordpress address. It should be
    http://www.giftmotorsport.com/blog/

Thanks...I looked at where you said and tried changing things around but it's still not working.

I have created some screenshots to show you what some of my hosting file structure is like, plus a screen shot of what my Genaral - Options settings are currently set to. If you notice any obvious errors please let me know

    Thanks for your help...

It looks as if the style sheet for the admin area is missing. Take a look in the folder wp-admin for the file wp-admin.css

If it is missing or empty or corrupted, try uploading a new copy.

That looks correct however you might have to log into your database and change it for it to take affect. You can follow these instructions.
Make sure you backup before doing anything.
