WordPress com community

I wanted to ask about the wordpress.com community – i started off my blog using wordpress.com and have gotten accustomed to the ‘structure’ there. For example, if i tag my post as entertainment, it goes onto the entertainment page in the reader… for now, as i have changed to wordpress.org, I noticed that it does not show up anymore on the page… and that former structure has introduced me to a lot of other bloggers and vice versa.

is that true that wordpress org posts dont get onto the pages anymore, like for e.g., when i tag entertainment, it does not appear anymore on the topics page…

For wordpress org, is there a ‘community’ similar to wordpress com?

i came to wordpress org so that i can try to have some income from blogging using ads, but it seems that the community has greatly diminished. Is there another open community that publishes new posts/ blogs for wordpress org?

Correct. wordpress.com sites are all part if a large network. Self-hosted WordPress sites are not.

No because self-hosted WP sites are not connected.

There’s a similar forum, but if you’re looking for something like http://wordpress.com/#!/read/fresh/ for .org, no we don’t have that.

Nothing i can do then. Just have to work harder and get it out there by other means.. any other platform that you would recommend ? similar forum you say?

my followers have totally stalled or is not working, i am not sure. i will ask that in a separate support thread.
