In a shared host in a CentOS linux vps under Plesk 10. / WordPress 3.3.1
I am looking for an authoritative statement on how to configure WordPress permissions and file ownership structurally for any domain I might host a wordpress instance on a shared server under Plesk.
I am running the latest version of Plesk 10 and the latest version of WordPress 3.3.1.
No suggestions so far for root user to chown -R the ownership settings of various directories so far works consistently nor persistently over more than a few hours.
Plesk seems to install using the username:psacln ownerships.
WordPress updates and install fail to install as WP update or install is unable to create the necessary directories etc. Setting permissions temporarily to even 777 is not the solution.
Is there a way to grant WordPress permission to use the username:psacln default ownership (and file permissions) that Plesk Install sets up?
There is an apache username but I don't see a specific WordPress user.
thanks!
