WordPress can't find mySQL (4 posts)

I installed a fresh copy of both WordPress and php next to an existing mysql 4.1 install. I created the db and I can access it using an external app, but WP can seem to connect to it

Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL which is required for WordPress.

I installed myODBC thinking that maybe that was it, but it didn't help.

So much for the famous 5 min install...

    Help!

Not our fault you didn't use teh tools directly in front of you. If you had used tools available, you could have been up and running by now.
