   Found this in my apache log does anybody know if it is a bot?

   "Incutio XML-RPC -- WordPress/2.3.1"

   no thats not a bot. that a user-agent that wordpress itself uses.

   someone put a trakback on my blog it came from there, so it is not automated?

   Its a user-agent that WORDPRESS uses. Thats telling you that the trackback came from a WP blog, nothing else, nothing more.

   Is it automated? What do you mean? Trackbacks are automated, in a sense.

   In other words, dont worry about it, youre making something out of nothing.

   Also I have "WordPress/2.3.1

   as a unrecognized browser in my log analyzer ?

   Well of course you do..take that up with whatever is analyzing your logs.

   Need to find out what these things are you did not wake-up one morning and new what a computer is and does you had to ask and one day you knew something more about the world.
