   Just installed the new version 2.2 and i get the following error message when trying to imort a blogger blog

   tahnks

   Could not connect to https://www.google.com

   There was a problem opening a secure connection to Google. This is what went wrong:

   (-1073803912)

   Had the same problem.

   Instead of the -1073803912 I received a timeout error.

   Here's the full text:

   Could not connect to https://www.google.com

   There was a problem opening a secure connection to Google. This is what went wrong:

   Connection timed out (110)

   i am getting the same thing. i've looked for hours and can not find a solution anywhere, beginning to be quite frustrating.

   Check with your host to see if they have SSL support compiled into their install of PHP. WordPress is trying to make a secure connection and it is unable to.
