   Hi,

   I have a wordpress blog on Yahoo. It was installed and worked fine. But yesterday as I added new posts it went haywire and deleted ALL of them and a couple of sections. And now when I try to log in it just keeps trying to re-install itself and when i do that it gives me errors and I'm not able to log in.    did yu delete install.php after finishing the install process?

   follow the instructions in that thread.

   you need to install phpmyadmin, if you havent already, and use it to check and repair your database tables.

   What exactly is "grasping at straws" about asking if that file was deleted? I've seen it posted as an answer in support many times before. Even the installation instructions specifically point out that install.php must be deleted.

   And how about you shelve you're damned attitude for a change, huh? Must every answer you deign to give be condescending or downright nasty?

   when you can explain the consequences of removing that file when faced with the OP's problem, Ill shelve my attitude. thanks.
