WordPress-based Jobs Portal?

Hi All,

I have a client that wants a traditional jobs portal, think Dice or Monster but perhaps a bit less involved. My take on his desire is to have a site that allows visitors to search for jobs and for employers to offer jobs and not a whole lot more. I’m looking to find out if this is something that the WordPress community thinks WordPress can do. Is it robust enough? Are there plugins for such a thing? Has it been done before with WP?

If someone feels it’s possible, are there any basic considerations involving how to implement it that I need to research? Special considerations for databases, etc.

I would certainly appreciate any feedback on this, examples, thoughts, warnings…whatever comes to mind.
