What format is the backup in?

Is it an .sql file? If so it can be uploaded into a new databse using phpMyAdmin in your web host control panel.

Do you have the files and folders also?

It’s difficult to know how much you can restore without knowing the types of files you have in the backup (please don’t post any personal information, just the types of files).

I have the .rar file of the whole website from the file manager, and also the .tar file.

    Highly appreciate your help sir.

    Hi Pat,

So you have all the files and folders and the database export?

Essentially you need to extract everything then upload all the files and folders (not the database export) up to your web server. Then import the database into a new MySQL database and then connect the two with a new wp-config.php file.

    There are instructions on here:

    and this part:

It can be a little technical, perhaps your web host can assist you if you’re not sure.
