   I would like to learn how to build static websites using WordPress. Idea being that I can build websites that my customers can update themselves.

   I once found a website with info on how to modify some of the WordPress PHP pages to alter WordPress appearance - header, footer, sidebar etc.

   Can anyone point me to useful websites with the information I need?
