• It takes forever to get logged onto WordPress and then it is moving super slow. Website is so slow it is basically useless. Hosting service says it is not their problem. None of our other apps are having problems. We need help!

You’ll need to work with your host to see WHAT is slow. Is it the server, is it the database, or what?

Once you sort out WHY your site is slow, you can fix it. Maybe you need caching plugins. Maybe you need to optimize your server.

Hosting site says the problem is not with their server; that it is running properly and no other sites are having the same problem. My internet is not slow when I go to any other locations. My server is functioning fine. It is only when we connect to WordPress and our website that everything is slow. I need help to know how to sort out WHY! Website has been visited from numerous computers at different locations and the same problem exists. Deisgner of website has gone out of business. Can not find info on how to talk to anyone at WordPress. Ready to scrap the whole thing and start over with a different system and host.

Yeah, your hosting is being … unhelpful.

If you don’t know how to look at your server stats, your host SHOULD. You need to find out what, on your SITE, is slow. Yes, the host says the problem isn’t their server, but ask them what they mean.

“When you say it’s not your server, do you mean the CPU and memory utilization are acceptable? What’s the status on my database?”

Things like that. You need to get them to help you determine what’s slow.

As a test, you can try going to domain.com/readme.html which SHOULD give you the standard WordPress html read me. If that loads fast, then it’s probably your database connectivity.

I would move to a host with better support, personally.
