WordPress and RDF in the core ?

Hi all,
I just noticed this thread in drupal groups:

Discussing implementing of RDF to the core of drupal, and was wondering if that might also happen to wordpress.

I already see that there is a plugin or two allowing for RDF in WP:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tags/rdf

But this is one of those things that putting in the core might be the only way for “enabling the future web”.

My questions to you is:
1) What are your thoughts about it?
2) Where should I post it so the right people will consider it? (I am asking since I keep getting confused on where to post what these days with WP)
