okay let me try once again.. I run a site right. it’s on wordpress right

I just want a message or something when people type in my website address to be shown a white page saying down for a bit, and will be back up laters

What do you mean it’s “on WordPress”? Do you mean you have a blog at wordpress.com? If so, you should ask there.

If you mean you installed WordPress then make your own maintenance page, name it index.php and upload it to the root of your site (or wherever WP resides). When you want your blog to appear again, upload the WP index.php over it. Either that or search plugins for something that might create a maintenance page for you. I seem to recall seeing something like that.

Well that sounds good and all so i’ll make an index page right.. but I want to make a picture in Photoshop and then upload it to tinypic, and then on that index page, I would like to have click here for main blog, and click her for forum think it will work, since the main blog has that index page, unless you can think of some other way around it????
