wordpress 3.8.1 problem

My site was upgraded to 3.8.1, and now when I create a new post the home page does not load… the actual post works with the link, but not the homepage… is this a compatability issue with my theme and wordpress 3.8.1? 3.8 had no issues… need this resolved asap.. need to be able to get new content up on the site!
