WordPress 3.8 images not showing Google chrome

Hi im working on my a website that runs WordPress 3.8, when I upload images it says http error but if i click away and go back into media files it’s their. when i insert images to to a page they don’t show up on the page in google chrome or firefox but they show in Internet Explorer. I have tried to change to change the themes but that doesn’t work either
