    WordPress Version: 3.6
    Jetpack Version: 2.3.4

Upon trying to “Connect to WordPress.com” from the dashboard… Receiving an error for xml_rpc-32700.

Your Jetpack has a glitch. Something went wrong that’s never supposed to happen. Guess you’re just lucky: xml_rpc-32700

    Try connecting again.

Error Details: The Jetpack server could not communicate with your site's XML-RPC URL. Please check to make sure http://www.DOMAIN.com/xmlrpc.php is working properly. It should show 'XML‑RPC server accepts POST requests only.' on a line by itself when viewed in a browser and should not have any blank links or extra output anywhere.

Upon visiting the URL mentioned above, I get a PHP warning of:

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /wp-includes/load.php:278) in /wp-includes/class-IXR.php on line 372

But then immediately following that PHP warning… “XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.”

Issue only became presently noticeable with the versions mentioned at the top of the post.

Could you post your site URL here, so I can have a look?

Same issue here. site http://www.mediame.tk as a multisite installation. Having issues with main site, /thinkparadox/ and /journalofparadox/. Issue started immediately after updating Jetpack this morning.

My attempts to resolve the issue in case it was a faulty install was as follows:

Completely remove plugin itself as well as all mentions of it from the database especially in wp_options (my tables are different, for security purposes, but still).

Redownloaded and installed a fresh copy of Jetpack. Plugin activates fine, even as a network activation without a hitch, it’s connecting Jetpack to WordPress.com that the error pops up.

Errors the same as OP. Figured it might have been the BuddyPress XML RPC plugin causing issue since I use that with BuddyDroid on Android. Disabled it, still not dice. Not sure what other path to take at the moment.

Also worth noting is that I don’t have any caching plugins activated even though DB Cache Fix is installed. My server runs with Apache, Nginx and Varnish.

@thinkparadox All 3 sites appear to be properly connected to WordPress.com. I also don’t see any errors when looking at the sites’ XML-RPC files.

Have you managed to solve the issue by yourself? If so, could you let us know what the problem was? It could help @michael solving the problem on his site.

    Thanks!

Yes, sorry, I resolve the issue late last night. Since I run a multisite network, the one instance of the DB Caching plugin running on a blog without Jetpack screwed the rest of the network up. Removing the plugin from that blog and removed it to prevent future issues. Seems the caching plugins effect the rest of the sites on the network regardless if they’re using it or not.

Michael may also need to check his wp-config.php to make sure he also has caching disabled there as just a test to see if that would resolve his issue. This definitely seems to be a caching related issue.
