• 1. When I try and click edit to change my permalink nothing happens.

    2. Set featured image will only open in a new window and no matter what I do it won’t open in the same window like it used to.

    3. A plugin that my website uses called copy in clipboard no longer works.

I have never seen an update mess up such standard things. I can somewhat understand the plugin but the other two are pretty ridiculous.

  • It’s not a bug as this is specific to your site. Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.

Ok so that solved the edit and featured image problem but the plugin that my site relies on heavily is no longer working. Will I need to contact the developer?

Yes – I’m afraid you will.
