I have a new wordpress blog that is hosted at godaddy and I'm having difficulty uploading new themes/images to my site. I have messed around in the forums already and have tried things such as setting my permissions to 777 (I tried this and THINK I did it right but it didn't help) and to go into media settings and both uncheck the "organize my uploads into month- and year-based folders" and ensured that there wasn't an extra "/" in front of "wp-content/uploads". Neither worked.

I then tried figuring out FileZilla and am getting nowhere. I called godaddy and they told me that they can't help, once the install has completed it's now a wordpress issue. Can anyone offer further suggestions??? Any help is much appreciated! Thanks!

    staceycox,

If you used the automatic installation for WordPress, permissions will be setup correctly for you already. If you installed WordPress to the root of the account, themes are uploaded to yourdomain.com/wp-content/themes.

Your account should be able to be connected to over FTP to get your templates uploaded. We've got a great FileZilla guide here: http://x.co/LNhs If you're having FTP issues, need details on permissions settings or need your accounts directory layout, please let our support team know. We definitely want to answer your questions.
