Hello everyone!
Sorry if I've posted it in the wrong section but here's my question. I found a plug-in called WordPress Automatic Upgrade. I want to know if I want to upgrade to 2.8 (current version is 2.7.1), can this plug-in be used? It says that it's compatible upto 2.7.1, does that mean that it will let me upgrade to 2.8? Any help would be appreciated.

You can automatically upgrade from 2.7.1 to 2.8 without that plugin. In fact, I'd strongly recommend that you don't use it.
I will also suggest manual upgrade. Please refer this:

In short, reupload all the files and folders except wp-contents and then try to access your site URL. It will be upgraded.
