WordPress 2.6.5 upgrade unhooks stats

No harm done but I used simplescripts to upgrade from 2.6.3 to 2.6.5 after first disabling all plugins. Upon re-enabling I got a red highlighted message that the stats plugin needed the API key. I re-input it and chose the URL that I was replacing with itself and all seems normal, no loss of past data. But I’d guess not working as intended. This happened on 2 out of 2 installations tried so far.
