I am brand new to WordPress and would like to know 2 things. 1st: is there full documentation on this release?
2nd: The latest I can find is v1.5. Is this a good place to start or are there too many changes? From what I've seen and read the whole user level structure has changed from 0-10 to a title system, i.e. contributor, author, etc.
I'm not familiar enough to spot the other changes. Help!
    Thanks.

    Hi myblogz,
I would suggest at the very least working with version 2.2, I have set-up a couple of 2.3 installs lately and haven't run into any major problems.

Thanks for the help. I need to lock myself in a room and read for days, which brings up my next query. It seems like the majority of people using blog sites are pretty versed in scripting - html or other. I can find code snipets of just about anything I want to do on the site. The challenge is knowing what .php,etc. file to edit and where to insert the code. New buttons, rss feeds (to and from), you know the drill. I'm a quick study but I feel a little overwhelmed. Can you recommend a good starting point? Sorry for all the questions, but I have to start somewhere. Thanks again.

One more thing: I would like to add this feed to my site to help others in the same boat. I'm using the Dark City theme. You're welcome to check it out at http://unscriptednews.com/your2cents . Trust me - that's not a shameless plug.
I'll get a handle on this soon.
