I just upgraded from 2.0.3 to 2.0.4 and thought I'd report back that it all went smoothly and (touch) word, there are not problems so far.

Nice work and thanks - keep 'em coming :)

Are the bugs that were in 2.0.3 fixed in 2.0.4? I am still running 2.0.2 and will continue to do so until they iron out the problems.

If any kind of "fixer" plugin is still needed for any reason, then I'll take that as a no.

The only problem I had was that my content in my dashboard disapeared.

It went good here, sure wish there was something automated like SMF does. I have shell access and I couldn't find a decent way to take advantage of it, ie I am kind of stupid and I don't know all of the shell commands. Anyways, with brute force I have managed to update 9 different blogs on the server and all went well.

With all due respect, I don't think you answered Otto's question--at least not to the level that a WP newbie like me would understand. Are any "fixer" plugins are still needed with 2.0.4?

Not through the testing stages. Real life always tells the truth, though, eh?

The upgrade went fine for me as well.

On the plugin front, I did notice that Viperbond's WeatherIcon plugin doesn't seem to not allow Arne Brachhold's Google Sitemap plugin to work anymore when trying to manually rebuild a sitemap.

Other then that, version 2.0.4 seems to run a lot faster too.

The backslashes problem we had with 2.0.3 appears to have been fixed and I've not noticed anything else odd going on. All my plugins are working.
