“Error validating access token: The session has been invalidated because the user has changed the password.”
means exactly what it says – and this is a message returned from Facebook.
As your session is invalid you need to re-validate it by clicking on the “Reset User Session” button
Thanks for the reply. Like I said in my first post, I’ve done that and it didn’t help. It shows me the “Authorise Facebook” button and after selecting this button it asks me to reload the page, after which it tells me everything is fine. Where in this process am I supposed to change the password?

You don’t – Facebook invalidated the stored session because you changed the password. So you re-authorise and Wordbooker should get a new token from FB which is valid.

I just tried deactivating “Better WP Security” which is the last plugin I installed and reset the user session, but still no luck…

OK
Go into the Advanced Settings and there is an option to log Access Token swaps. Enable that then:
1) Clear down the Alert log.
2) Run through the Reset Access and at each point you should see some messages – copy and paste those between each button click and then paste the results in here.
Its working now. Don’t ask me why. The only think I did different this time was checking that box you asked me to check: “Log Access token swapping actions :”
The log messages when resetting the user session were:
2013-06-18 08:41:11 No session found – lets login and authorise
2013-06-18 08:41:47 Everything looks good so lets ask them to
And when publishing I’m now getting:
2013-06-18 08:45:27 Commence Publish
2013-06-18 08:45:27 Calling wordbooker_fbclient_publishaction
As a side note, what I find a bit strange is when the heading of the diagnostics log says “Diagnostic Messages (Showing 0 from a total of 22 rows)” and doesn’t actually show anything (I’d like to see the 22 rows).
To conclude, I’m not sure what resolved this but for now I’m just glad its back to normal because the client was getting impatient.
Steve, thanks for the time and effort you spent helping me!

The number of rows displayed is controlled by the log level display option which is in the Advanced Settings section.
Glad its all working – I know there have been some issues with FB over the past few days so it could be that you were just very unlucky.
