Don’t understand what the word/excel/powerpoint upload plugin allows for? From what I can see, with it installed I can only upload a Word file to my media library and create a link on any page for anyone to view the Word file via the link and their MS Office. Is the plug in supposed to upload the file directly into a page while retaining the Word formatting? If so, what am I missing?

The plugin only allows you to upload Word documents, which are not originally part of the approved upload file types and would be rejected without this plugin.

If you’d like to create a page from a Word document, create or edit a post or page and click the button to the far right in the editor tool bar (it looks like a button with 3 horizontal rows of icons).

A second row of editor buttons will appear. Click the button with the Word logo. This will allow you to copy and paste the contents of Word document with most of the formatting in tact. It won’t be a perfect transcription due to the way Word handles formatting, but it’s better than nothing.

Thanks for the reply James, easy when you open your eyes and look at the icons.
