• I have a vm running in azure. I have my jira helpdesk running there. I also installed my wordpress there, once I have done everything,

Now home link in wordpress blog has <machinename>.cloudapp.net:8082 link. Anyway to avoid it? I would like them to be displayed as blogs.mydomain.com etc…

FYI, I have configured a subdomain in godaddy and forwarded(masked) to my vm in azure. I am using apache2.

I tried to change the home url in settings, it did not work out. If i change it to blogs.<mydomain>.com it is not loading anything. Then I need to edit the siteurl in options table to get back it to work.

    Thanks Raj

  • Hmmm… Maybe use Apache’s virtual host capability to map your WordPress install folder on the VM to your domain name? Make sure to change the URLs on the WordPress backend to reflect what the server is doing.

The Moving WordPress information might be useful as well…

This is just some musings as I’m not familiar with your setup at all…
