   I have upgraded the blogs on one server and all the blogs on that server appear to have an issue with the edit timestamp link not functioning, and there is no word count showing in the sidebar.

   I even deleted all files on one domain (saving wp-config) and re-uploaded a fresh unzip of 2.6.2 and still having the issues. Tried switching themes to default and still having issues.

   Does the word count and edit publish date call some kind of script that a server setting may be interfering with? Not sure what to ask my host to look into, or if it is even an issue on their end..

   help appreciated!

   come to find out, the image uploader acts funny too.
   when I clickon add image firefox asks if I really want to navigate away from this page. Then I get a page that allows me upload, it crunches the image, gives a chance to add info, but when I click insert into post it just goes to a blank page.

   returning back, then trying to insert again, it seems that the image has been uploaded and is in a gallery folder, but no luck in inserting.

   I am assuming this is a server setting, but what do I ask them to check for? javascript permissions? flash permission?

   This is the digidotz.eu or digidotz.com hosting company..

   I have this same problem (edit timestamp not working) with WP 2.8.2

   Strange thing is, I posted 2 items, both forward scheduled, then I tried to add a third, but suddenly the edit timestamp stopped doing anything. It just goes straight round to "Done" in the status bar, virtually immediately.

   Just before this happened, the visual and html tags stopped functioning on the previous post, and the visual tab (which was active) has no content.
