Woocommerce with Wootique theme help, please!

Hello,

I am using the woocommerce plugin with the wootique theme. On my website’s home page, the item has the “sale” label on it on both the featured items section on the home page, and in the shop part of the website too. Anyway to fix this?

Also, how do I remove the Recent Posts, recent comments, meta, etc. things on the sidebar? I tried removing the widgets and it is still there. It is something with the theme in particular. If I can’t remove the sidebar, that is part of the theme not part of wordpress itself, then how do I change it to something else?
