Won't stop redirecting all WordPress Blogs (1 post)

    I recently followed the Codex Directions for Moving the WordPress Blog from http://www.freeinnyc.net/wordpress to the root http://www.freeinnyc.net (http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress) Now http://www.freeinnyc.net works perfectly however I wanted to keep http://www.freeinnyc.net/wordpress as a development site.

    The problem is that http://www.freeinnyc.net/wordpress no longer works and all links and SQL posts are redirected. I uploaded a fresh brand-new wordpress site called devsite to the root to see if I can create new wordpress blogs and that doesn't work either.

    Can someone help me?

    http://www.freeinnyc.net/devsite/wp-admin goes to http://www.freeinnyc.net/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.freeinnyc.net%2Fdevsite%2Fwp-admin%2F

    http://www.freeinnyc.net/wordpress/wp-admin goes to http://www.freeinnyc.net/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.freeinnyc.net%2Fwordpress%2Fwp-admin%2F

    This is my htaccess files:

    in root:

    # BEGIN WordPress
    <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
    </IfModule>
    # END WordPress

    in /wordpress/

    # BEGIN WordPress
    <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /wordpress/
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule . /wordpress/index.php [L]
    </IfModule>
    # END WordPress

    Why are all wordpress files being redirected?
